is there any need to upgrade to a silicone one instead of the standard plastic one?

Can only be cosmetic looks I would have thought.
Maybe slightly less restrictive i.e. smoother inside but I cant see its going to make any difference performance wise.

try the zero sports crome intake pipe looks good will give you better flow than standard pipe work and small increase in bhp

Sorry mate just cant see its going to make any extra BHP. Certainly looks nice under the bonnet but as for power I think it might be all in your head

i now a guy thats got one fitted he recond it gave better flow combined with full decat system and hks sec bov and got a lot more pops and flames and your gona get better flow with it so cant see why it wont increase bph a tad

Surly chrome holds heat more then plastic? Therefore heat = SLOWER?

im told you get a better air flow cos its smoother but not an expert on this field ive run crome on previous cars and pipe allways remains cold
