You would need to switch the cam and crank sensor wires, speak to your mapper as he should be able to sort this for you. I would recommend Simon (JGM) for all your mapping needs

You need to swap the positions of the camshaft and cranshaft position sensor cables in the ECU multiplugs. If I remember right you also have to swap at least one of the ECU grounds. Check online for the MY99-00 ECU pinout configurations and change it from the "with immobiliser" to "without immobiliser" setup. You'll need a sturdy pin/needle/similar and a penknife to undo the wedge from the multiplugs and then release each wire in turn.

Once you've done this you will effectively lose the original fit immobiliser-transponder key, so before doing anything you should check firstly whether this will compromise the Thatcham status of your security system, and if so whether it will in turn knock onto your insurance policy.

As to whether your car will be nominally "drivable" after - if nothing else to take it to be mapped, that's an impossible question for us to even guess at without knowing the engine spec. It should run, provided you change the loom correctly, and should be okay for this purpose, but the best person to check with would be whoever's mapping your car.

the cam and crank sensor wires need swapping as has been said but I would recommend you drive on the standard ecu.. and let the mapper do it..
