took the manual boost controller of my94 wrx today put it back to the standard boost controller and it is boosting 1.8 bar of boost? recently it wouldnt boost over 0.5 on the std boost controller so i just replaced the water pump, timing belt, tensioners, coolant temp sensor, new plugs, oil change, i replaced the boost controller map sensor and the pipe with the restrictor pill in it thinking it was faulty as it wouldnt boost over 0.5 but now it is boosting 1.8 bar then in third gear it it will overboost does anybody know why its boosting so high? the car is chipped so should be running 1.1 bar of boost

 

Old my old car (S14 turbo) their are ristrictors in the pipework going from the intercooler piping to the turbo actuator, just like little brass washer type things that are removed then fitting the MBC,

Not sure about the scoob as i'm new myself but maybe they have them to and they have been removed, or had the pipe changed...
