Default supercharger??

hey guys
i have got a subaru rs 2.5lt
and i have found a website that does a bolt-on supercharger kit with intercooler for this engine. they want $5500
it comes with all the parts needed to change over
and it will piggy back of the old ecu
puttin this on a standerd engine will give 125kw at the wheels and is quicker than a standered wrx

i want to know everyones thoughts on the subject and if i should do it

i have already done custom extractor with high flow cat and exaust with hog dog and highflow tip

Harsh, but true. It'll probably end up costing you a lot less in the long term if you just start with a Turbo model.

Sorry - I actually didn't mean to be harsh - just very brief
Lot's of people around the world ask how to make NA car a turbo one, or how to make NA car stronger and faster.
Of course - there are ways to make NA car faster etc.
But it costs money, and for NA it's usually big money.
As STiFreak says - in the end everyone finds out that much cheaper, with much better results is to get a turbo car and work on this one if still in need of power.

sell yours and get a turbo one, you'll probably save money in the long run and get better fuel economy too

Couldn't you get a turbo lump and ancilliaries fitted if the car is something special that you really want to keep ?

dunx

P.S. over here insurance companies hate this sort of thing.... don't forget the brakes and handling too !

Would the engine take the extrs power and still be reliable?
As above, a turbo's the way to go, gives you more headroom for more power later too. Once you fit the charger, you'd be stuck if you want more in the future.
As for the engine transplant, will the car hold up to it? How do the RS compare to the turbo in respect to brakes, interior, bodykit, suspension ect?
