Default Turbo Entry Conversion

Can a 90 degree inlet TD05 be converted to a front entry?

Is there an "easy" but safe way of doing this so the internals are not damaged?

Trying to find a front entry TD05 but theyre as rare as rocking horse sh*t...!

Thanks

As with all such jobs, it's easy if you have the kit. "All" that's needed is to cut off the right-angle entry, weld on a new straight one and then finish machine it.

Damage to the internals is a non-issue as you'd take the compressor cover off the cartridge prior to doing the job.

Nip round some local engineering firms with a turbo (or some pics of one) and ask them for quotes - in the current climate they'll probably be desperate for a bit of cash in hand work.
