Standard Clutch
What power are people running on a standard OE Clutch before it slips?
I'm running at 350 at the moment, and haven't had a problem. But I'm going for more soon and hope it will last with more power......?

Hi Chris, After fitting a bigger turbo, before it was even mapped, my std clutch started slipping, was running around 340 bhp with no symptoms for nearly two years.
Now it's mapped I fear it would have shredded it in seconds, no launches, or crazy drive it like you stole stuff either.
HTH

P.S. I regarded it as an essential up-grade, not an option.

i ran mine at 383bhp for over a year on the standered clutch, did countless full bore launches on the strip and it never slipped once.only changed it as i was having a lot more mods done to the car so i thought it was wise while it was in to have i changed.

Mine is sat in the garage still, it wasn't worn out.... just couldn't hold the torque ! And I would have said it had led an easy life with little abuse.

P.S. You don't want to find yours giving up on a mountain pass in Italy do you ?

Mine is at 350 now, and hasn't once smelt or slipped or anything.
May have to think about getting it done before i do go in July
Is Bob the man to speak to?

My standard clutch should be ok for 450lbs you mean Tony? As I won't be hitting that when I get the remap.
What are all the types of clutches? There seems to be Single, Twin/Double and Organic. Think IF I do change I'd go for an Exedy. Which would suit me best out of the options?
Thanks a lot
