knock senser

Default knock senser

where do i find the knock senser on an 98 wrx sti? i read it was ment to be under the top mounted intercooler but cant find it lol plz help

That's not quite the right place. It's just in front of the intercooler, bolted to the left hand half of the block underneath the throttle body. Can be a bit tricky to spot underneath the idle valve/throttle position sensor and loom, but peek through and you'll see it. Round piece of black plastic with a bolt head on the top, and a wire sprouting out the side.

Dont forget to Torque the retaining bolt to 24Nm.
