inlet resinator removal

inlet resinator removal
Hi peeps.
Very quick question.
I tried removing my inlet resonator but after removal it wouldnt idle.
I read someware on here that thr bottom pipe off the boost solenoid that links to the resonator can be left to atmosphere.
FAIL!!
plumbed it bck into the inlet (befor the turbo) andstill wouldnt idle so had to return back to standard.
Any ideas why this would happen???
