Default dump valve

Put a dump valve on my car (05 plate WRX) and there is a big pipe that i had to block.. obviously its there for a reason but if i block it off am i doing any damage? when its unblocked the car dosnt run properlly. also whats the small pipe u have to push onto the dump valve?

No surprise there. Refit the OE recirc valve for smooth, reliable running, the same if not higher performance, and just hope you can get your money back on the waste of time ch@v valve.

All IMHO, but proven many times over
