having posted a thread a few weeks ago about gearbox's from Home - Mr Engine.net Specialists in Engines Gearboxes and Cylinder Heads. i have been stung,rogered and lied to by this company.
having had a quote from this company saying they a had a reconditioned gearbox for my auto legacy gt for £250 delivered with 6 months warranty.(cheap yes i know and a few of you passed comment), anyway phoned them up (because it seemed to good a price to miss) all they needed was the gearbox code which i quoted to them, "yep got that one" was the reply, so i ordered it,being told it would be delivered last thursday

next day i got a phone call saying there had been a mistake on their computer and they didn't have said gearbox,BUT they had a 2nd hand one from a low mileage legacy from japan,was told it would have 3 months warranty on it, would i like that one for the same price? stupidly i said "yes" and was told it would be delivered wednesday this week,(guess whats comming next)

phoned them thursday to say no sign of gearbox, whats going on? was told they will phone me back once thay had spoken to the courier. no phone back thursday

friday phoned them at 9.50am was told again they will check with courier and phone me back within the next half hour, 1.45pm phone them back again and left message on answer phone,still no response.

enough of my ramberling and thankyou to people who read this all the way through, i know some people have nothing but priase for this company, and i was hoping for the same,but what can i say...............

only question now is, if it turns up on monday and i refuse to sign for it, where do i stand?(apart from having a car with no gearbox!)

 

well,luckily your covered by your card,so if your not happy with it you can get the money reversed back.

An hour after putting claim into card company for non delivery of gearbox, it turned up at my mechanic garage,
do i cancel claim in case it doesn't work? or just leave as is?????
