2.5 conversion, which heads?????
Hi All,
Due to my recent engine incident, I have decided to attempt a 2.5 build.
I have sourced a block and will look towards getting forged internals too.
My question is will my 2001 newage cylinder heads fit ok or do I nead another type? or even some sort of machining? I'm looking to achieve 400-450bhp.
Thanks in advance
Andy

The chambers on the heads have to be englarged to accomodate the wider bore. Some people actually have the proper job done and have the heads machined and some people cut a corner and just opt for thicker gaskets (thicker gaskets can also lead to compression issues)

Thanks Guys,
STI_Baly, I think i'd lean towards machining the heads too, I can't afford to cut corners and have issues a few miles down the road.
I'll contact both Lateral and API aswell to see what they think is sufficient.
