Default boost solenoid

my mates uk turbo 2000 isnt running due to code 24 and is having a new maf tomorow,but when he was showing me how it wouldnt tick over when starting it i noticed the boost solenoid was clicking or pulsing and i could feel it when i toched it,is this normal as car needs a maf ? or does it need cleaning and how or what part do i clean,cheers

The solenoids probably having a bit of a tantrum as the MAF isn't communicating with ECU.

I personally wouldn''t worry about it as if it's clicking it means it does work, just getting an irregular signal. It;s only when they stop clicking that they need cleaning.

I'm sure theres a tutorial for cleaning these in the technical archives section. If not just PM me and i'll tell you how.
