Speedo broken
My speedo stopped working a short while ago (MY93 WRX, delimited with mechanical converter), so I no longer get an mph indication and the odometer doesn't count the miles.
I've checked the cable (and gearbox converter) and all seems ok.
Oddly, the engine isn't restricted to 4.5k rpm most of the time. Occasionally, the CEL does come on and the revs are restricted, but this clears itself after a few minutes.
So.....does it sound like the speedo (dash clock) itself has broken? And if so, is it relatively easy to replace, or is it a dash-out job?
Thanks for any help!

Is the cable plugged securely into the back of the speedo head?
Does the cable itself spin?
Replacing the speedo head is relatively simple all you need to do is remove the dash cluster which is held in by 4 screws.
The actual speedo head is held in by 4 screws BUT i think the actual unit if you buy a new one is fecking expensive so you may be better off looking for a 2nd dash cluster.
