high revs at start up?

high revs at start up?
is it normal that my car starts up from cold and idles at around 2k rpm till its warm?

Yes mate it is because its your automatic choke thats on until the engine gets to a certain temp then it will go off

you can get it to drop if u select 1st then back into neutral, it tends to drop a few hundred rpm`s
