Default cutting out flashing engine light next to oil light?

as was going steady on dual carriage way and needles suddenly dropped and flickered on the said light above. its red and to the left of the oil light. got some power back then happened again, and revvs dropped to about 300rpm then bounced back up, whilsdt this happened the said light had flickered on again. Thend drove real slow for a bit and it seemed ok. 10 mins later could drive really fast no probs.

This morning, went round a tight right hander, and car totally cut out in the middle of the road. luckily all the ignition lights lit up, and was able to start it again.

Any idea what could cause this? or ways to check? its really bad and im always feeling like its gona cut out at any second

yea that one with the wiggly lines.

must be to do with this exhaust i reckon.

i got it the other day off a guy on here pretty cheap.

When i boot it it feels like its blocked. in first booting it, it pops a few times before i really start zooming off, and a cloud of smoke comes out, but only in first, when pullnig off after this popping noise

As far as i know that sensor isn't connected to the engine management (just that light)so shouldn't cause rough running.

interesting. i have recently fitted a chip, could this be related to the cutting out?

and the sensor isnt connected to anything as i different exhaust with only noly sensor on the whole thing, the lambda on the up pie and no others.

Could it of been the oil light? what could that mean?

The oil light is for oil pressure if it comes on during driving not good.

as for ther chip i would speak to the supplier (polarperformance by any chance?)
