What induction kit?
#2
Not necessarily - it's mainly for the whooosing noise if you ask me....
And you may well need a remap to make the most of it.
I had an induction kit which made the car awful to drive - I was advised to replace the OEM airbox and put a performance air filter in - JR Performance filter - which cured all my problems.
Never got my head round how having an induction kit in the hot engine bay can be better than having a cold air feed from the airbox – I’ve seen some very fancy systems (do a search) where the cold air is fed through the front fog light/inner wing and people who have built intricate head shields under the bonnet…..
A decent panel filter is OK for up to 400bhp so I was told
