What induction kit?

Default What induction kit?

I want to put an induction kit on my 05 sti. What induction kit is best to buy and do they really give you the gains that they state to?

Not necessarily - it's mainly for the whooosing noise if you ask me....

And you may well need a remap to make the most of it.

I had an induction kit which made the car awful to drive - I was advised to replace the OEM airbox and put a performance air filter in - JR Performance filter - which cured all my problems.

Never got my head round how having an induction kit in the hot engine bay can be better than having a cold air feed from the airbox – I’ve seen some very fancy systems (do a search) where the cold air is fed through the front fog light/inner wing and people who have built intricate head shields under the bonnet…..

A decent panel filter is OK for up to 400bhp so I was told
