Default Downpipes....

Ok, i did a research on the different downpipes, 1 thing i can't understand , do u pay just for the name ? , Cause they look all the same , a simple tube, but the prices vary from 120 to 200 quid . H&S 190 HKS 180 Jap speed 140 quid, Anyone know the difference? Or as above u pay for the the name?

They do vary, there are bellmouth and twin dump designs, best one to go for would be a 3inch bellmouth type, beware of downpipes which start off at 3inch then taper down to 2.5inches, Hayward and schott, milltek, revoloution and TSL all make true 3inch downpipes

Why should i go for more expensive one or not?

They taper down to 2.5" to fit a o.e. center pipe or 2.5" center section, if you can wait a few weeks you can have the magnex twin dump 2.5" downpipe which used to be on my TypeR for £50...

I've got one from japspeed, and i think yhe quality is pretty good. The one thing i don't like is cause it is very loud , too loud for me, that's why i'm searching for the differences between them, maybe they've been made from the different metal or smthn , just tryin' to figure out ....

I've got 3" HKS center pipe and HKS hi power 120mm back box for high power outputs which gives me a headake aswell, i'm just goin' now a bit more sensible route as i drive a car more often now, i'm not sure ,but i think my center pipe is resonated , but it still is f*** loud...

I would better go for another back box some smaller i guess. What have u got killer?
