Exedy Organics are great for progression and highish torque.

But don't be tempted to get the price-driven 'cheapies' off ebay. Get a specailly modded Exedy Organic from API David. May cost a little more, but it will not disintegrate like an unknown quantity ebay special might.

Also get API to fit it - his mechanics changed a clutch in less than an hour a few months back! So any 'extra' that you might pay for the clutch kit, you'll make up for through lack of API's labour costs!...

Sorry steve, I didn't mean to include your quote in my post i.e. I wasn't comparing the 2 clutches, etc. - I was 'speaking' to the OP...

I have a clutch of unknown origin in my WRX at the mo - it's the one in there from when I bought the car from JapUK back in Sep 2006!. It's still fine - no slip, judder, etc. To be fair though, I only do about 6-8k miles a year and pretty much never do full bore launces, and am generally very gentle on the transmission. I'm 'only' running about 280bhp/280lb ft at the mo, but intend to go for 350/350 later... so the clutch will be tested a lot more...

When it eventually fails, I'll prob get the API one supplied and fitted by them.

Phone David at Api, get yourself one of the Exedy clutches they modify. They replace the friction material, also replace the drive springs. It'll take 400bhp all day long, the clutch feel is lighter than standard. I have on on mine, with the Api lightweight flywheel, love it! I've done a couple of starts, and it's perfect.

There you go joe joe, mit has just endorsed what I have said about the API one... From the horses mouth, so to speak.
