Default Which TMIC will best fit, and sell FMIC>?

as above pribably going to get a better TMIC for my 1995 wrx import as the standard one is not only small, but also has nearly all the fins bent on it, so has got to go.

Which ones are a direct, or easiest replacement withough having to cut into the throttle body etc,

what year cars are they off, and is it only the sTi ones?

and secondly this may mean im going to have to sell my Hybrid GT FMIC its secong hand but recently had the core painted and lacquered, how much do you reckon its worth? the pipe work is bullbknig slightly, but still works fine

cant afford remap etc.. as would need new ecu then mapped and im about to move into new house. if i can fit it and not get a remap, i definately would. anyone down this and got away with it?

The original plan was to fit it, but from what i hear it might mess up my car without a remap, and cause lag, would the coolnig be more of a benefit than the lag?

To be honest, the only easy fit replacement will be an sti tmic from the V2 as said above.
I fitted a V6 sti tmic, didn't take long, but you will need to modify a few bits, and cut a v1-2 samco tmic hose to fit onto the alloy y pipe.

is the v2 STI going to be any better? im up for a bit of modding if needed

so a v6 sti what years is that? and is that a lot better than the V2STI>?

and finally..

does a V6 STI TMIC fit onlt the same mounting points or did you have to fabricate new brackets / mountings?

The V6 is better than the V2, how much so I'm not sure, but it's much larger, and has a y pipe, instead of the single entry of the V2.
I got the long mount on the left in the pic with the tmic, standard V6 mount. The right mount is the standard one you have now, but one of the two fixings on the gearbox for it needs to be removed to allow it to move forward a little.
You'll need to blank the dv mount on the V6tmic, and bend the metal work a little under the tmic so it's y pipe clears it.
I did cut the lip off the throttle body, and the tmic for more clearance, but you may get away without, not sure.
