Air/con Pump swap

My legacy (1993) has fitted aircon. The pump that is by the alternator has developed a leak in the gasket. Can I fit anew one??? If not are these the same ason a Impreza??? and could I geta second hand one from a WRX.. and fit it. Also would it give me colder air?? The WRX's that I have bee in are "Freezing"!!!
