Subaru Impreza Turbo - MY94/L
When accelerating rapidly my scooby starts spluttering as if it's being starved. If I take my foot off slightly if seems to clear straight away and accelerates normally. UNTIL NOW!. Coming home the car started to splutter as before so I took my foot off and away it cleared, but then every time I accelerated (normally) it seemed to get worse until it developed a technical difficulty (broke down!, sorry for swearing LOL),YES there is 1/2 a tank of fuel in the car and it's the first time in 5 years it's had any technical problem LOL. Can anyone give me some direction.

 

dont quote me but sounds like fuel related can you hear the fuel pump prime when ignition is turned on also could be maf did you get an engine light on when this happened.

 

Sounds like MAF. Common problem
