Getting another scoob after 2 years with Honda and have a quick question.
Car is a wrx 54 plate with 37k on the clock, dealer said he would change cam belt if needed.
Just wondering if this one is due at 60k or 4 years which ever comes first same as my last one?
Defo getting it done but want to know if it should be done now and I'll get the dealer to pay for it.

Yes, I'm certain New Ages are at 50k (Classics at 45k). So if you believe the milage to be true, then prob not required. Although that said - and if your wallet can take it - it's always a nice feeling to acquire your new steed with the cambelt freshly done... Peace of colossal mind and all that

cheers for replies
You are correct I asked local dealer today and they said 50k or 5 years.
My mate owns preciousmetal so he's going to do it for me when I pick it up.

Ah, preciousmetal - top guys. I bought a set of v.4 STi replica fog covers from them that they pre-painted for me. Nice product and friendly comms etc. If you go on their site, they may still have a photo of my WRX with them fitted, that I sent them for promotional purposes lol.

Just means that you now won't have to do it again until 105k rather than 90k .
The good thing is, is that the Subaru cambelts DO NOT have a reputation as being 'snappers' (one of the few positive things you can say about the EJ20/25 engine's reliability! ). Only kidding...

MY00 classics were 4yrs or 60k miles, prior to that it was 3 years or 45k, it also has to do with if you have an X or Y in your chassis number, only for my99/00 owners though
