Default coil packs classic help

after replacing my ecu for a polar performance one i noticed my coil packs wasnt upto scratch so ive been replacing them as & when ive got the money to, first i did 2 which gave a very noticably power increase no more misfiring & felt abit smoother as it used to hesitate abit before, now ive put in a 3rd one & the hesitation seems to be back could this be down to not having the forth one the good are over powering the bad 1 or could it be that the spark plugs i fitted not so long back i gapped to 0.65mm is now to close? any ideas cheers
