excluding closed deck blocks...

MY93-97 had more-or-less the same open deck block with centre thrust main bearings (some slight changes to ribbing and so on over the years)
MY98 had the same open deck block but machined with end thrust main bearings
MY99-00 open deck still, but moved to 8 bolt bell housing to match the later gearbox
MY01-07 2.0 block is semi closed deck on sti, open deck on wrx
MY08 2.0 is semi closed with thicker walled cylinders

End I think everyone knows about the EJ257 block for the most part.

Question

Thanks Paul (and Mick). Where the hell does the CDB fit in amongst it all then?!

Paul, btw, is the car going to be ready for Saturday?

CDB on the STi V2/RA and on some very early Legacys.

Pic below of '96 ODB with Squirty Things

Shaggy6 - Never seen bore squirters on a MY98 ODB unless its had a rebuild using an earlier block or the squirters have been retro fitted at some time.

Yeah, my previous Integrale Evo I 2.0 twin-cam was fitted with under-piston oil squirters... I think.
