hi iv got a 53 plate impreza wrx 225bhp (it has full 3"system if this will make a difference) if i get a ecu off of a 55 plate which has 300bhp ppp from factory would it fit mine (straight swap or would other parts be needed from it) and would it make mine 300bhp or not?would i benifit from it atal?

the turbo on your car is a 280bhp max give or take a bit turbo.. so no..

I presume you are muddling sti ppp figures which if you get an sti ecu it won't work on your car.

you need an 03/04 preferably wrx ppp ecu.. the keys will need recoding..

if the car is modded you would do better to get it remapped..
