I have 3inch decat system on my type r v3, i want to remove the back box and put on sti genome backbox on.The problem is it is 2.5inch piping.
The question is will it restrict it also will it cause any damage.
I know i will lose a bit of power,the sound of the genome is nice.
or should i try to mate 3"dp to 2.5 centrepipe and then to genome box.

Hi mate
No keep your 3" middle section and just get a reducer flange the difference is very small, I doubt you will notice any difference.
If you are still concerned you could go to a exhaust fabricator who could make something slightly less restricted.
