yeah me to so i thought a td05 woud fit right on without having to do anything but people are saying it wont fit? mmm

A TD05 will fit if it has a front-enrty compressor cover on it. All Imprezas have the same pattern up-pipe and downpipe mounting flange patterns... except twin scroll turbo applictions (e.g. Spec C?)
