i know of a guy on another forum, that has done a coil pack conversion, as in, from individual coils on his 95wrx classic, to a simple coil, with HT leads? ive scowered the internet, an cant find out how this is done?

can any one shed any light on this?

Any links or feedback would be great. Cheers !

you just take triggers for cylinders 1 and 2 and wire to one side of the new coilpack and triggers for cylinders 3 and 4 and with to the other side of the coilpack etc.. I used all four supply wires to the one on the new coilpack.

Been fine for 60odd thousand miles, on 4 different ecu types.. all mappable but should be no issue on standard ecu.

ahh, i just found out, it wasnt just a conversion, he had a misfire problem, as im having this friend of mine. An he got some bosch coil packs, with a pos an neg on the top. he cut the the cabes going to the existing coils as close to the coils as poss. then got a multimeter to see which was ground, on EACH lead. Then hooked them up to these new bosch coils (which for the life of me, i cant find anywhere on the web). THEN he took a heavy duty HT lead out of each new coil. plugged them in, hey presto, no misfire!

but i now cant get hold of him to get the particular design of the 4 coils i have a rolling road in 4 weeks with ladsoc, SO I NEED TO FIX QUICK!!

any 1 know of these bosch coils with pos an neg on top, that come with little L shape brackets?

an yes, id use the original coils (mines a 95wrx by the way) the standard coils are good for 450bhp, the bosch ones are good for 800bhp, and have a split re-charge/fire rate which is extremely fast, there better in other words. any help would be great chaps!
