Default marks on engine

I noticed today while looking under the bonnet that most of the engine components have either a blue or pink mark on them from like a marker pen or similar, It's a 56plate WRX UK. So is this usuall or has my engine been chucked together from parts out of a scrap yard?
Thanks.

Factory paint marks on bolt heads are where the bolts have been checked for correct torque during Quality Control.
