New owner looking for upgrade advice....please.
Ok, 1 week down the road now and im settling in nicely with my WRX PPP wagon, but im now wondering what subtle changes i can make and havent got a clue where to start.
What differance will filters and dump valve make...... plus what ever else i can do.

Decat exhaust and headers and a panel filter were my first noticeable modding gains, circa 20+ HP, and i would advise a remap after fitment. Dump valves are not a direct contributor to HP gains, and i would dare to go as far and say they are purely a cosmetic / aesthetic adittion! (Toys for the boys)

Ok cheers, so when you say de-cat you meen removing the catalytic convert.... so what then happens at mot time?

A standard STI panel filter will suffice if you dont want to remove the air box for an aftermarket induction kit for starters, do a "Wanted" search for one on here, someone will have one. As for the first part I would suggest you refit the stock system or consider a sports cat. Although im sure you know the consequences of driving a road vehicle without a catalyist/s which are meant to be there.

so the pro drive exhaust on my car at the moment still has a cat in it, if i remove it what sort of bhp increase can i expect with the panel filter as well.

I have a ppp wrx and have just fitted a 2nd hand ppp sportcat down pipe and a decat up pipe. Should be ok come mot time and will free up a few ponies just need to decide about a remap now or wait until I have a VF34 and pink injectors first,
