Default engine check?

I was just trundling around this afternoon as you do then suddenly the engine check light flickered on, only for a few seconds then went off.. n i havent seen it again, i didnt notice any changes in performance.. any ideas?

Same thing happens my "99 type R sometimes. Car is running grand. Was thinking it could be MAF sensor issue

hmmm.. could be.. its had the maf changed about 6k miles ago.. if i cud i wud check the fault code.. any advice how lol? see if it stored it :S

I take it you don't have Apexi Power FC ECU fitted?

Because, the PFC has the option of flashing the CEL to indicate upto 3 parameters; namely IDC, airflow and knock.

Had to ask, just to rule ourt this possibilty lol

cheers matie..its good to know ur trying to help.. now what are the other posibilites? could it be a sensor tripping out?
