Default sa badged ecu??!!

I have wrx sa sti (version 1) specs give 250 bhp with an ecu chipped by sti. I wanted to run a different ecu since have the strength of the v1 engine. Had originally intended to go for 6k ecu but an SA ecu has turned up and seller tells me it gives 280bhp. I thought 275 was tops for this period in the v1 sti RA -so can any one clarify whta the sa ecu's come form. Problem being if its just a v1 sti ecu it will be no different from what i have

There are 2 threads about ...ones says sa has=
SA (STi chipped) - Ver1 STi (Sedan and Wagon) - 14.94psi

the other says=
SA (STi chipped) - 1993/1994 STi 13.64psi

the second suggest the sa ecu has standard sti spec so 250
the first suggests high output?

adding to the adage..... "having read it dont prove it"

please any one with one let me know any info.
