Default lambda position

hi my decat downpipe has two holes for the sensor one near the turbo the other down near where the pipe joins the centre section (like my 96 does ) but the hole is on the top not the side of the pipe would it make a difference if i use the hole near the turbo instead cheers j

think the hole closest to turbo is lamda and other is for the exhaust gas temp probe.

the other downcat pipe only has one hole near the turbo its on a classic cheers j

Yeah, had a problem with my lambda, was mounted in the manifold but kept f'in up after i fitted a full decat so ended up mounting it in hole nearest the turbo and is now fine Hth.
