Hi all , my check engine light keeps coming on and off , i have found it showing fault code 22 - knock sensor,
my car is a 1995 wrx import , does any one know the part number or what knock sensor i need?
Also is it safe to run/drive the car , cheers

anyone know which sensor i need, can only find ones for uk turbo2000 , will these fit the import? or where i can get one? , any help much appreciated.

Hello, I dont know much about cars but i can tell you mine has the same problem. I priced up a new one from japarts.co.uk and I think it was £114, You will most likely have to give your reg number or the GC8 - ?????? (number)

I found one on ebay to be honest and I thought i'd try that one first before buying a new one only to find that wasn't the problem.


I fitted mine and reset the ecu and she seems to be fine for a few days and now she is starting to misfire now and then, so now i'm looking into the mass flow control sensor!


BUT there are loads of sensors on this car and you may find out you will do that one and another one will pop up.

Thats all i can say i'm afraid!

Iv'e removed the old 1 now, and it is all cracked and corroded! so hopefully its the problem, and i have also bought a used 1 of ebay now aswell cheers for the help.
