Question exhaust help

Hi ive got a my00 with just a ninja 2 back box at the moment, i know when i change the whole system to a full decat system i need a remap but was wondering if i could change the centre pipe so have a cat back system without having a remap and will it make much difference?

MY99/00 have no centre cat, so a replacement centre (and your existing back box) should be okay without a remap.

If you don't inted to get a decat downpipe EVER lol and your existing centre has a restrictive resonator box in it then, yeah, get one - it can only help with the extraction of gases to a small degree. If your existing centre has no resonator in it i.e. a straight-through pipe, then don't bother.

If, however, you do intend to get a decat downpipe later on, then I'd wait until then to get a centre section also... then get the whole lot mapped for...
