Default Loudest exhaust for classic

I currently have a trust extreme exhaust on my car (cat back). It is an awesome exhaust but just not loud enough.
Can some one tell me what the loudest cat back exhausts are, or even a loud backbox that I can swap over..

Any imput much appreciated.

Cheers

If you want really loud...

Tailpipe

Or...
Impreza Turbo 1993-2000 Classic : Subaru Impreza Afterburner Xtreme rear exhaust

I have a 3" decat + 3"
Cobra system, and that's quite loud (similar, but a bit quieter, than Nur Spec).

^^ vid of team ice reving to 2700rpm.. not even on boost lol

team ice is around the 110-115db mark--- fingers in ears time
-----

in Joz8968's old post he mentioned..

According to my home cinema Sound Level Meter's instructions, 105dB is equivalent to a low flying jet or thunder... 115dB is rock concert loud!

Don't forget that the dB scale is logarithmic, so an increase of, say, just 2dB is significantly louder, because the gain is exponential, not linear.

Please note that if the police deem your car too loud they will impound it!

Do they really have that power, now? That's such a Draconian, disproportionate 'punishment'!

I hate this country!... "Thou shalt not have fun (due to the minority of do-gooders who don't have fun)... so why should anyone else?" .

Everything comes down to the lowest common denominator, doesn't it? (despite their tiny demographic... AAARH!).

Yes they can, its called anti social behaviour or they can fail the car for not being road worthy (it exceeds the MOT noise emission hence fails).
Its been a part of the law for quite a few years.

haha yeah u got that right lol, i dont have anywhere to store the stuff since moving out of my parents so its under the bed along with a v6 spoiler, sti-7 scoop, hid kit, 3 port boost solinoid.. sti-8intercooler and sti-7 undertray.. lol and a few other bits and bobs..

as for the exhaust i think it depends on the area you live in as to what the police are like, me for example used to live in bradford before daventry and the police didnt care about your exhausts or tints etc..

only time it was a problemw as when you were being silly at a car cruise messing about etc and racing.. then they'll do a proper search on the car and screw you over lol althought it dint work on my friend, they opened bonnet to check mods declared on insurance and engine was same and they accused it off being different but he just had a habit of detailing and having polished bits and bobs here and there, so it looked like a show car..

long winded process down at the sttaion for him

I think we're all in agreement about that ...... until it blows up .

Seriously, the flat-4's #dugga dugga# sounds like it should belong in a car costing 3 time as much! (which it does anyway... after a year's worth of bills ).

The 'S' is back box only, and I'm certain it has a normal 2.5" flange to mate upto any OEM-sized centre. But the back box inlet pipe might be 3" - not sure

Yeah, I've heard the Ti-phoon (burnt tip) version of the Firestorm at idle and mooching around, and it is well deep and well loud.

Hey Pete,

I had a Blitz Nur Spec system on my old MY00 with PPP. Quality of the exhaust is outstanding (in terms of welds, style and finish), and possibly the best out there for that.

But I just found it too noisy on the motorway and around town. Because of this, I felt like one of those all show, no go clowns (despite running 267 bhp) that boom up and down the roads pi$$ing everyone off. Really not my scene but each to their own.

There are also better exhausts out there for performance gains.

ive got a blitz nur spec on my 95 import and ive been told that its just below the legal limit(with or without the cat),ive never had any probs with the rozzers.ive got a full system i think its best as you dont have to replace rusty pipes!it just makes the flat 4 sound even better(if thats possible). you can get a good long flame too!!it would be a good investment and gets my vote everytime.
