Default Rear number plate lights

One of the rear number plate lights on my MY99 saloon has fallen off due to the mounting bracket rusting through. Is the bracket structural? Can it be bought separately and how easy is it to fit?
MOT due next week so any help would be much appreciated.

I've got bugeye wagon and one of my number plate light brackets he caroded, though mine are plastic. MOT tester never seen it, I think as long as you can wedge it in place so that the light shines down you will be ok. Then sort it after

I'll maybe try that but I really wanted to know if the metal bracket is structural. Plus how easy is it to replace? How much of the rear bodykit has to be removed?
