Default Couple of probs

Well I topped up my coolant on my MY00 UK today as I replaced some coolant hoses and lost a bit.

I had to cap off the header tank, and let the car idle. The fan kicks in at 96 degrees (courtesy of my PSi3 data monitor) and cooled it down fine. So it was running for 10 odd minutes in the morning. Once the smoked had cleared from the exhaust, white from cold, so assuming condensation, I thought thats OK. But it seemed after a while the smoke came back. Now unless I didn't see it, and it never cleared yet from cold. But as it was coming out for the second time, it was in puffs, like put-put-put. It cleared again after a while.

So thats the first issue.

The second is when I had it hot, and after driving a few miles, oil temp was 85-90 deg (DEFI guage), full boost was barely making a bar in 2nd and 3rd, more like 0.6-0.7 of a bar. I set my dawes devices to 1.1 bar over a year ago, and haven't touched it since. I have the mods for it, full decat, Walbro fuel pump, panel filter and ECUtek map.

Now it got me thinking whether the two issues might be linked. If the coolant somehow leaked into the turbo, through the seals, don't know if it is possible or not. And thats the cause of my boosting issue?? Bearing in mind the smoke on start up was idling, so would that rule out a turbo issue, or could it still leak straight into the exhaust?
I had no CEL come on, but done a scan, and got code 53 on the historic codes. Thats listed as antenna. I've not had any historic codes on the PSi3 since I got it about a year ago. But had my stereo out for a ling while, so that could be that.

Any advice welcome.

I dont think the smoke's an issue
...its cold out ..plenty smoke from other caars if you watch them

if yo uaint getting boost above 0.7bar then it suggests either the boost controller is reset/not operating (not sure if it would then go back to the standard 0.7bar ) or there's another issue

but I dont think theyre linked (smoke an lack of boost

imho

I'll check the controller, but I don't think it would have come loose. There is a locking nut on there. If the smoke is not related, wel thats good for me. But then that might be a stuck actuator?

the white smoke is nothing to worry about in this weather. nothing to do with boost anyway. check the boost plumbing is not blocked, cracked, leaking.

Check all your boost pipes matie, also check/clean your dump valve. Dont think the two problems are related
