Any help appreciated. Car feels fine until is fully warmed upto operating temp. The idles and spluters/occasionally stalls once warmed up. Slight smoke and rich fuel smell it feels kind of like a missfire. its a 99 rb5 Thanks

I was thinking o2/lamba poss ht leads or coil pack?
Has had a recent MAF

forgot to mention have just put in a new gear box and radiator. did an ecu check have got codes 12,13 and 21 not sure if these have gone or are stored from previous

If you reset the ecu and the codes go then they are previous ones.
Worth having a look at the leads/coilpacks to see if they need replacing and have a look at the plugs whilst you at it.

12 is stater signal
13 is camshaft position sensor
21 is coolant temp sensor

cheers im thinking most likley the coolant sensor due to previous posts

changed coolant sensor didt make any differance any imput appriciated

did you reset the ecu after fittng it?

Unplug the lambda sensor and see if better after a drive.
Check dump valve not open or for split pipe, pipe off

cheers no didt re set the ecu, have got a turbo smart dv but the bung has gone missing could this cause the problem?

The bung in the recirc pipe?
Your having a laugh right?
Of course it will cause this issue lol.
Best check all wheel nuts are on whilst at it

lol.. glad you seeing funny side too.. was worried after posting you'd be annoyed.

Quickest option to get you out of trouble is a screw driver handle and a jubilee clip..

not sure where to get a bung from.. ebay perhaps?

Always see the funny side mate (although a half price map would make it easier lol) thanks for the help just wish i hadt spent £40 on that new coolant sensor at least its one less thing to go wrong

put new bung on did ecu reset is abit better but still ideling all over the place once upto operating temp. have ordered a new lamba if this fails has anyone got any sugestions? Thanks

you mentioned changing the maf.. was the other maf kept and was it totally dead?

I wonder if the lack of bung has killed the maf.

yeah stilll got the old maf will try that aswell. have put a brand new cooant temp sensor in. seems really strange that the cars fine until upto operating temp. thanks

is it worth getting a obd reader?

No no error codes are coming up since i put the coolant sensor in and reset the ecu

Tried new lamba today still no good. cant decide if to go down the icv route or leads and coil pack or send it to a specialist. Thnks to eveyone for their help and imput
