How do i get more power from a 275BHP STi
car is a Jap Import Sti..275 Bhp as Standard..what would give me more power..
Seen a FMIC on AKA Paul555sti and looks great but what Power comes with this type of intercooler?
Would the following be a start:
Will upgrading the pipe work to Silicone or Something else for instance Help?
HKS Induction or Apex if so which one would u recommend?
Is the turbo big enough?
Would 550cc Injectors be of use?
Walbro Fuel pump and if so would i need to up grade the wiring? (as the jap wiring seems to be lighter and melt)
if Yes to any of these, if i change that particular item will it be absolutely necessary to remap straight away? and if i dont straight away what is the likely out come?
....Yes its a long list
any Help much appreciated

have a look here, AndyForrestPerformance
but in my opinion your money would be better spent on good tyres , uprated drop links and anti roll bars and springs, lots of power is no use if the car doesnt stick to the road.
when your out on the road givin it some welly ,what is that stops you going faster, for me its a mix of fear and lack of grip , there is allways plenty of power.
i ment track not road

Not interested in a FMIC
Would the following be a start:
a TMIC upgrade --> will a larger one fit straight on to original pipes fittings? anyone done this?
Will an Sti8 Scoop for instance help?

decat, panel filter, fuel pump, remap will see 310~320bhp on stadnard tmic..
changing the intercooler to a larger one will help along with the sti8 scoop although the look of them is not to everyones taste.
Similar setup with fmic would see 340bhp roughly.

oh.. I had assumed wrong year then.
I personnally don't think the sti8 scoop looks right on the classic but it does work at getting more air in.

The sti 8 scoops dont suit the classics. You would be better having a well fitted front mount put on it. Fitting a larger top mount to replace you slanted one is almost as big a job as doing the front mount. Thats the way i went and at least it retains the original look of the bonnet and scoop.

by the way pet FMIC on yours looks very neat and tidy
did u do it yourself or did u have help...
on a different note im having trouble with the pipe bringing oil to the turbo the piece with the two banjo bolts on it ... i replaced it as the other one cracked and this one came the nut came loose maybe thro vibration, not sure, any reason for this or any way of stopping this from happening in the future

I have to admit i had mines fitted for me. If you do a search on here in the group buy section there is a guy called Harvey who sells the hybrid intercoolers he also offers a fitting service. I am not sure how close you are to him but at least it will give you an idea of the cost. There are plenty of people who fit these them self if you are handy with the spanners.
Sorry i cant help on the turbo question.
