just wondering what power can a standard 04 sti engine be taken up to
safely on 99 ron??
i close friend of mine mapped the car at 1.7 bar which i was happy with .
he used romraider software which is very good.
but he did say he would alter the boost back down to 1.4 bar which is safer i did like the car better when it was running 1.7 bar so any mappers here would like your comments what is the safest power on 04 sti engines without risking it going pop. looking for 340hp

 

You shouldnt need 1.7 bar to reach 340bhp.

It isnt all about the boost though.

Is this on the std turbo with a decat ?

 

Mine spiked to 1.7 bar in really cold weather. 1.6 was normally enough ! ( 02 STI + FMIC )

1.7bar is stretching the VF35? and the fuelling required would be getting close to the limit of the standard injectors?
You should get close to 340 with a half decent exhaust and re-map. Mine made that with the standard PPP exhaust.

as above.i have full decat, and a green panel filter.aso car is remapped on 99 ron at 1.7 bar .car has vf 35 ,550cc injectors
what bhp would i be looking at anyone?

 

Mine was "laptop'd" at around 340 bhp.
