Hybrid FMIC Install Questions

Hybrid FMIC Install Questions
I am probably being completely dense here but
This comes with the car...
It attaches between the air intake and the bottom of the tmic intercooler & there is a small pipe that goes off somewhere else.
Then the below is on one of the new pipes.
Now I'm strongly of the idea that a d/v attaches to the new pipe but
a) the d/v has a pipe off the top that goes somewhere (forge vta)?
b) what happens to the pipework in the first pic?
The rest of the install is going more or less according to plan but I'm going to end up with the problem of what goes where at the end
Laptop is for the excellent thread by KIPS - HERE!

no you need to block both pipes to run with no DV..
seen with lots of amusement the two connected together.. you then have turbo pressured (or trying to be) intercooler pipework leaking straight out the pipe and out the filter ..
Or fit the forge to the intercooler pipe (new one) and block the pipe on the inlet.

the little pipe is the vac line to the dv.. just cut the pipe to an inch long and put a bolt in the pipe put this pipe on the inlet manifold.. to stop it leaking..
or if you have a T to a boost gauge remove the T and use the new nipple on the inlet manifold
I wouldn't use coins..
you can use the dv to block the inlet temporarily.. just turn it around..

nice,,
you need to move that number plate although it is probably on the floor with the mount you had to cut off to fit the intercooler.. oh hold on bumpers not back on..
if you haven't cut the bumper yet I have one here in blue with sti4 splitter cut for a fmic already going cheap.

How much then for either bumper assembly?

Ok - we have ignition & blast off
B&Q for 2 plastic pipe ends, some jubilees, a length of Halfords radiator hose pipe, a bolt & its all done
I have to say that road-testing in driving snow with no headlights is not easy as any time you tap the accelerator all 4 wheels lose grip

Simon, what's the color of the second one - not 262 silver, per chance? I was thinking of getting a Hybrid FMIC later on AND also put on a v.4 splitter, see? ... So it'd be ideal, what with it being pre-cut and pre-splittered up! lol.

Yeah, I'm undecided about whether to put on a MY99/00 one They look more modern/aggressive (but there's something pleasing and simple about the early bumper). Post up a pic of the Jolly Green Monster with it fitted!
Also, Simon, don't forget to replace your flat MY97/98 grille for the MY99/00 protruding one . I'll be fitting one tomorrow night (hopefully - if the bloke's eventually got round to painting it ) along with the MY97>on angular lights
