ive got a estate turbo with a vf22 turbo sometimes wen i put my foot down i get smoke coming out off bonnet i had a look and it comes from the turbo i think but it dose not smell of burning oil any ideas

 

maby the rocker cover gasget at the back mine was leaking there and it had smoke coming from the turbo area but when i fixed it it was tip top no smoke

wen turbo gets hot and you poor abit off water on it it smells like that at idle the car juders alitle bit its not miss fireing bont think would that course it

 

would the be oil at back off if if if i had a look

 

are you losing any water? if its not oil then its going to be water, maybe leaking water and running onto the uppipe or manifold. rocker cover is a common thing but it does smell of oil and goes after a few miles unless its a serious leak.

dont think i am m8 i know wen they put the turbo on they had to take off a water pipe unless thats not put on right
