Default UK MY 97, what next?

Already have Prodrive back box and 4 pot calipers with Goodridge hoses. Intercooler Y pipe on the way.

Planning to replace the shocks in the VERY near future, will decide on future suspension mods after that.

Not particularly interested in decat or dump valves as daily driver.

Can't map a MY97 3 plug ecu, so what next to get a bit more oomph?

I am in the same position, but have also added a decat centre section. I believe a small boost increase is worth trying, up to say 15-16psi so below the fuel cut. So to be able to monitor boost you will be wanting a boost gauge first...

Oh yeah, got one of them, just not fitted yet to both cars yet, along with volts and oil pressure (hope Tanyatriangles don't read this LOL)

Is the centre decat any noisier?

How much "oomph" you looking for and whats your budget?

IMO I wouldnt want to be tweaking around with the boost unless the fueling is set accordingly. Get the gauges in place and see what the car is doing. You might find someone may have already tweaked it.

Only a little more oomph and not too much money. Just tinkering really.

Don't want to major upgrade the internals or strap on a TD05 (yet)
Was thinking a used MY97 UK PPP ecu, if that is possible?

I would think so as the wiring would be set up for the MY97. Would hopefully be a case of plug and play. I had PPP ECU on my one before replacing it with the Apexi. Bonus is that the PPP ECU is mapped for the the UK TD04 aswell so may well give you what your looking for.

How much did you sell it for?

Just so I have an idea how much to pay if I am lucky enough to find one (or two as the wife will want it in hers and I won't get any say in the matter...as usual )
