Speed restrictor
Hi all, first post!!
I have just bought my first scooby, a jap import, it still has the speed restrictor in place, if I remove this how fast will it go?
1997, 280bhp, it stops at about 110mph at 5500rpm.
Also where is the best place to get a deristrictor from and how hard are they to fit?
Many thanks

hi there fella i like yourself have got a import scoob i have been told all you need to do is change the speedo clocks for uk ones that runn up to 160mph
i could be wrong coz i always thought these things were wired up with the ecu. but its when the needle reaches the end of the speedo it cuts the motor out. i **** ma sell when it first happened to me belting up the motorway overtaking and it cut out i was thinking o bugger i done it now.... worth a try i am looking for a set of sti uk carbon clocks if anyone might have a set just laying around........ chances slim and none prob lol
