Is there a way to recognize a Prodive ECU from a OE in WRX 01?

I am just about to have a MY01 UK300 fitted with PPP. I understand the the ECU is an echange / re-worked unit. ie the dealer returns your unit to Prodrive for re-mapping then resupply to next punter. So i would think that there would be no difference other than possible badgeing?. (Ps i think that for that money you should get a brand spanking ECU!!!!)
