Some pictures would be helpful to identify the heads - the DB and ZU stamps on the cam caps and head are for identification when they are line bored at the factory.

Hi cant get pics on,the heads have the oval plug holes not the square early ones, there is rh-b and lh-b on the heads near the exhaust ports.Supposed to be sti4 ones but they have sti2 RA top hat under bucket shims, cams are no help as they are kent cams.

Cheers

Sounds like STi heads - the reason they have STI 2 RA top hat inner shims is down to the re-profiled Kent Cams (quite normal) to take up the larger clearance on the base circle.
Kent cams normally have their ID mark on the rear end of the cams,so you can get a data sheet of Kent Cams to dial the cams in with Vernier Pulleys.

Cheers for that,i want to fit supertech valves and springs to them but cant get hold of a set of sti2 ra ones. The only ones i can get are sti4 but they are 2mm shorter from the keeper ring to the end, will they do sti4 shims thick enough to take up the difference?
Thanks again
