Default Info on remapping due to new exhaust

hi there had my ukmy00 about 4 months and know a limited amout of knowledge so been doing a lot of research on various forums and got a mixed view!!
need to no if i need a re map if i change my exhaust to a h&s full system, new panel filter and a 255fuel pump!! im thinkin of upgrading my turbo to a td05 16g in april time and was going to get it mapped then but worried that driving it between now and then could cause it to run lean and cause piston problems ect ect!!! any info would be very appreciated!!
thanks

Anything from a cone/mushroom induction kit - or more - will require a remap. As you say for safety as well as gains...

Drive using very gentle throttle, so boost doesn't build up into anything meaningful i.e. "staying off boost", till next gearchange, etc. A good tip is to run a vac hose direct from turbo compressor outlet nipple to wastegate actuator - thus bypassing the boost control solenoid - and running only actuator base boost, which is low... But as mentioned, still don't use boost!

And get it mapped asap regardless... Try arranging for your mods to be fitted and the remap as close as possible to each other e.g. mods one day, remap day after, if you can.

if by full exhaust you mean including the downpipe then it would be best to get it mapped... also if you change the fuel pump then it may over fuel and just cost you power..
A panel filter is best unless you have preference for the induction noise but the maf sensor on the 99/00 can be sensitive and it's life can be shortenned by induction kits.. partially due to filteration, oil on filter, and vibration.
If you change to induction kit I would get it mapped straight away.

The best option would be to leave it as standard as possible until April and then fit the lot. .

Although you never know with it mapped up on the current turbo you might not want to change the turbo so soon.

JGM is based in Kent and can travel to you (which stops you from having to drive the car any distance anyway - just pay his fuel costs on top of remap option). He's extremely helpful bloke and is an excellent mapper - his post-mapping 'aftersales' care/advice is excellent, etc. Many on here (inc. myself) have used him and pretty much all say the same thing.

If part of your mods is indeed a larger turbo, then it would be sensible to keep the driving to a min after fitting it - so a mobile JGM lol is an ideal choice in this scenario.
