Default std dump valve

hi all

i have a my00 u turbo witch since i have owned has had a dump valve. i now have a fmic with a dump valve what i want to now are the standard dump valves which recurculate all the same on this year model? ie my uk turbo and a sti? which is the better? i want to fit one as it has never been very smooth changing gear?
