Default How much £ roughly.... (mapping question)

To get my Type R mapped for V-power, (UK fuel). Its a 97 plate...

2nd hand apexi £300-400 and then another £250-300 to remap it.

Cheers, is it worth getting small mods done before then, de-cat, fuel pump etc

Yes it is worth getting the basics done, as once mapped you want to try and keep off the spend, spend trail, unless you can afford a remap every month or so.

I have A'Pexi with a warranty, for your car, off the shelf fitted and mapped for £700.00 + VAT

I can do pops and bangs on the A'Pexi, it is only a mapping 'trick '

To answer your question, the Simtek is very good and does away with the Mass Airflow meter which can be troublesome on later cars. They don't go wrong often on your age of car, BUT when they do they are 240 quid or so and you wouldn't risk a secondhand one unless you like Russian roulette.

Simtek fitted and mapped here is £800.00 + VAT Same rules apply as for the A'Pexi - get the little bits done first, OR better yet - whilst you are here having it mapped
